SAFETY TECHNOLOGY LTD

NEWSLETTER

December 22nd 2010

Welcome to the first edition of our quarterly newsletter.

Safety Technology Ltd is a leading supplier of safety equipment and training for the Utilities, Wind Energy, Construction and Arborist sectors.  We offer inspection, maintenance, vacuum packing and certification of safety systems, along with a full programme of safety training that meets the requirements off all major wind industry leaders.

Now settled into our new base in Raglan, South Wales, we are making full use of our recently built climbing room, classrooms, warehouse, and looking forward to the erection of our new training tower.

2010 has been a busy year for Safety Technology Ltd seeing our joint venture YST flourish in Madrid, where our new training centre now allows us to offer training throughout the Mediterranean.

We have also set up a training centre at Grand Rapids Community College in America and furthered our collaboration with Coleg Gwent.

Partnership formed with Coleg Gwent - Safety Technology Ltd has teamed up with the largest college in Wales to combine facilities and training.  Coleg Gwent are now providing Safety Technology with classrooms and technical equipment for our Electrical Safety courses, the college are also running some of our accredited courses such as CCNSG and Manual Handling.

RenewableUK accreditation - In September Safety Technology Ltd obtained RenewableUK approval for our Work at Height and Rescue (WAHR) 2 day course, run both at our South Wales training centre and on-site locations.

Training Centre set up in Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC), America - College leaders in the US joined with Safety Technology earlier this year to create centres to train employees to work on and off shore wind energy machinery.   The licensing deal with Safety Technology authorised GRCC to become the first college in the US to offer this certified programme.

GRCC President Steven Ender said "I consider this making an investment in our community", "this is a well-known training programme, and I think it will go toward making this area a leader in the field."

Safety Wire System installed at Blackpool Pleasure Beach - During December Safety Technology Ltd has been working with the engineering department on Blackpool Pleasure Beach to install a safety wire system on the rides.  This fixed wire system, the only one of its kind, enables the engineers to conduct their regular checks of the rides without risk of falling.  Our fixed wire system with a special trolley,  which will arrest even on the incline, makes the engineers job a lot safer.

So far the system has been installed on the Big Dipper, Grand National, Wild Mouse, and The Rollercoaster.

With the growth of our company it means we have welcomed some new faces to our team, including Mike Dickens as General Manager Operations.

Mike joined the company in February, moving down to Monmouthshire from Leeds with his wife and baby son Oliver.

Mike Dickens, General Operations Manager

"I'm really excited to have joined the industry at such a pivotal point with rapid growth projected throughout the UK."
