RenewableUK Health and Safety 2011 Conference and Exhibition
Safety Technology Ltd travelled up to Edinburgh in January to exhibit at RenewableUK's Health and Safety Show. Our custom built offshore access ladder for a transition tower demonstrated our prize piece, OSCAR, an arrester block designed for offshore wind turbines. Safety Technology had a great day and
it was great to have our partner Cresto on our stand to give information on the Oscar.

Safety Technology Trainer completes Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET)
Our Sales Development and Training Manager Ben Williams, recently returned from a 3 day BOSIET training course. The training included sea survival drills, fire fighting, helicopter escape, offshore first aid, lifeboat drills, and safety aspects of offshore work. Grinning from ear to ear Ben said of the course 'it was great fun, I really enjoyed it!' The course will now allow Ben to work in British offshore waters.

Safety Technology attend Crown Estates Offshore Supply Chain Event
Last month our Managing Director Bob Dickens, and General Manager Mike Dickens attended the Crown Estates supply chain event for the Wind Offshore Industry.
The event took place in Cardiff and provided updated information, networking opportunities and specific workshops. This series of supply chain events are helping to create a competitive, reliable and flexible supply chain that will form the backbone of the wind industry.
Mike Dickens said of the event 'it was interesting to see the developments in offshore activity, especially in the Bristol Channel'.

New Trainer joins the Safety Technology Team
With the growing needs of wind turbine operators we are seeing an influx in training, to ensure that we are always able to meet our customers needs we have taken on a new trainer.
We are very pleased to welcome Daniel Flynn into the Safety Technology team. Daniel is an ex-Royal Engineer with a background in rope access. He has spent the last few years working as a Rope Access Technician, and prior to coming to Safety Technology was working on the Olympic Stadium.
