Founded in 2002 as a safety equipment supplier for work at heights, Safety Technology originally worked closely with the Utilities and Telecom Industries supplying high quality fall arrest safety equipment and training.
After a huge surge in Wind Energy in the UK, Safety Technology was quick to recognise the need for skilled workers in the sector, and began to develop a range of safety courses for the industry. In 2009 the company gained RenewableUK accreditation and by 2010 were training individuals worldwide, clients including industry leaders such as Vestas, Gamesa, Dong and Suzlon
In 2010 Safety Technology started a joint venture with Ynfiniti Engineering Services (YES) and opened a training facility for work at heights safety in Spain, and shortly after began training in the USA in partnership with Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC).
It soon became apparent to Safety Technology that the industry was crying out for a one-stop-shop for turbine safety training in the UK. In order to offer this, Safety Technology identified the need to collaborate with other industry area specialists. In 2011 the company joined with marine specialists to offer a top range of offshore safety training.
We are continuously developing our services to meet the demands of the energy sectors, with an extensive range of onshore and offshore safety courses, high quality safety equipment, and health & safety consultancy delivered from a host of locations throughout the UK including, South Wales, Blyth, South Shields and Great Yarmouth.
We recently gained GWO approval for Working at Heights, First Aid and Manual Handling training. This Basic Safety Training has been developed in response to the demand for a recognisable global safety standard through working closely with Wind Turbine owners and manufacturers. We can now offer combined GWO and RenewableUK accredited courses from our locations throughout the UK.
