Fall Arresst
Fall Arresst
Consideration must be given to the type of work to be undertaken and the work environment when selecting fall arrest equipment. Below is an example of some of the solutions available from Safety Technology. We can also provide advice and practical demonstrations to assist in selecting the correct system.
Inertia Reel Block
All blocks are self rewinding to help prevent entanglement or tripping of the user. Care must be taken to ensure that the blocks are used at the angles specified by the manufacturer.
Mini-max
One of the most compact webbing fall arrest blocks including a shock absorber available.
EN-360.
Length: 1.8m.
RFA 10/20

Self retracting wire fall arrest blocks with double action hook connector.
EN-360.
Length: 10m or 20m.
50-06/15 & 51-10/15/20
Various webbing and wire fall arrest blocks. All the blocks in this range have been tested for use in a horizontal direction. Please ask for specific manufactures instructions if you plan to use this equipment in such a manner.
EN 360.
Length: webbing 6m or 15m
wire 10m, 15m or 20m
Guided type fall arresters
Ideal for use on sloping surfaces such as pitched roofs, or as back up devices for rope access systems.
STL Arrester rope grab
One of the smallest and most effective guided type fall arresters available. Unique design features negates the need for a separate shock absorber, this allows the rope grab to be attached either directly to the user directly or via a short ‘cows tail’ to give more manoeuvrability. Because there is no tear away shock absorber the rope grab can also be used in hauling and rescue systems and the design prevents any damage to the hauling or rescue line.
The rope grab is available in different formats:
Fixed: e.g. for use on lanyards such as roof or work restraint lanyards.
Removable: e.g. as a self tailing back up system, or fall arrester for temporary safety lines.
