The wise linemen are coming and we look back on 2019

3 wise linemen

Just like the three wise men the three wise linemen will be paying a visit over the next couple of days.

This Christmas we are running a three wise linemen promotion. Over the course of the next few days we will be emailing out a special offer valid for only a short period of time. To ensure you see this offer sign-up for the email below.

Highs and lows of 2019 at STL

2019 has been a great year for business but also immensely sad for STL as we lost our dear friends and co-founder Neil Waterson. Neil had been battling leukaemia for the last few years and finally passed away earlier in 2019. Neil was integral to the development of Safety Technology, a dear friend to all of us at the company and his many collegaues around the industry. He will be sorely missed.

Despite the saddest of news 2019 has seen some major highs. New products have been hitting the shelves throughout the year with feedback on the Polecat and Sirocco harnesses exceeding expectations. We innovate our products with the user always front of mind but the ultimate gratification always comes from the linemen and technicians in the field who have universally loved using the new kit over the year.

Working at height safety training continues to go from strength to strength particularly in the USA through our North American division Safety Technology USA. 2020 will see further training advancements and the opening of new facilities to compliment those in the UK and Iowa, Texas and Kansas City in the USA.

2019 has also seen a number of new hires into the company. Ben Dickens joins to head up growth in North America, John Rutter joins to spearhead Uk sales and growth and Jason Burgess joins in the UK to bring his operational know how to the business to streamline and improve internal and external processes.

Despite the somewhat uncertain business environment in the UK renewable energy continues to develop at pace globally and STL are well positioned to be the training provider of choice for entire supply chain. Within utilities STL will continue, as it has always done, to lead the market in product innovations for workers at height and 2020 will see further product launches that we will showcase at events throughout the year. STL will be exhibiting in Chester at Energy x2020 on the 9th, 10th June. Come and say hello.

Lastly all that is left to do is wish you all a merry Christmas from everyone at STL. Don’t forget to sign-up your email below to get a visit from the wise linemen!
