Training

Safety Technology has developed a range of training courses in conjunction with Wind Energy companies specifically for working in Turbines during construction and operation.

The courses cover; Safe use of Equipment, Working at Heights and Access, Basic Rescue and Evacuation, First Aid, Specialist Access and Hub Rescue and Casualty Evacuation Specialist External Hub Working. Certificates are issued for all courses and details are maintained for refresher training.

Manual Handling.

a. looking at all aspects of lifting and handling items in a safe manner.
• Identify common hazards likely to be present in the workplace.
• Use proper lifting techniques (kinetic lifting).
• Conduct simple manual handling risk assessments.
• Appreciate relevant legislation - HASWA 1974, Manual Handling Regulations 1992
• Appreciate how their actions may endanger themselves, fellow workers or people passing through the workplace


candidates will undertake:
(i) Lifting techniques
(ii) Identify risks and propose remediation
(iii) A health and safety quiz

• Managing an incident

• Roles / responsibilities of employers & employees for first aid at work
• Unconsciousness
• Cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

• Injuries to bones, muscles & joints
